Profile

This association was founded in June 1961.
That purpose was contribution to establish ink painting that been a symbol of Japan art as modern pictorial art and develop Japanese art culture.
We have held exhibitions of the national public subscription and the selection every year since we were founded.
Moreover we have schemed travel exhibitions in Japan and Overseas every two years.
So we who had pride and responsibility as a opening painting circle, have pursue the growth of modern ink painting and keep development.

History

We introduce our activity especially recent years from foundation to present.

〈The exhibition of national public subscription〉

June 1961 『Modern ink painting association』 was founded
1968〜1974 We had held 『the exhibition of modern ink painting association』 in The Ueno Royal Museum every year.
1975〜2004 We have held 『Exhibition of The well-selected ink painting』『Exhibition of modern ink painting art』 『Exhibition of National public subscription』every year in Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum.

〈Spring・Special exhibition〉

We have held the select exhibition every year in Tokyo American Club,Ginza central,Tanaka Yaesu Gallary, The Ueno Royal Museum,Ginza art hall,Shinagawa　Tennouzu, The Hakone Open-Air Museum, Yokohama redbrick Gallary,etc.


〈Traveling exhibition…Overseas・Japan〉

We have held the traveling exhibition in Okinawa,Maizuru,Kyoto,Nagano,Toyama,Niigata,Maebashi,Koriyama,
Aomori,Akita,Sapporo.
And we have contact with painters in each place and have held
a sketching excursion.
